I bought this monitor over a year ago to upgrade to a dual monitor setup (never going back to single) and had some money so I went cheap and bought this one. After properly adjusting and balancing the colors, it looks pretty good on a static image. Not much to write about, but I've had a lot worse in this price range. However, the main issue I have encountered is the ghosting issue. It's most noticeable on dark backgrounds, but anything that moves on the screen leaves a brief ghost trail, much like you have mouse trails enabled for everything in Windows. This makes it pretty unsuitable for gaming and video work, especially if, like me, you're into quality and clarity. It's like I've turned on a little motion blur to everything in the game. I can't say anything about the sound quality. I always use a quality headset for this, so I never bothered to try the speakers. In any case, considering the price, I wouldn't expect much from them. Maybe if you only need to hear notifications from it, but if you're an audio snob (like me again) you weren't planning on using it anyway
