This is a preview/early review of the 3 fan model after using this unit for just a day. I'll try to report it in the future if warranted. Background: After months of searching, I managed to get hold of an eVGA RTX 3080 CX3 Ultra as a Christmas present for myself. The card is amazing in terms of performance and graphics quality, but in the end it really turned me on. It typically went up to 80C, and as far as I can tell that's its thermal throttling temperature, at least when it comes to clock speeds. Because of this, the card never reached the declared boost speed of 1755MHz. Adding a third 120mm fan to my decent full size gaming case made no difference. Then I searched "GPU cooler" here on Revain and found this. I was quite skeptical as this is an inexpensive solution to an expensive problem, but for the price I decided to give it a try. Installation went smoothly with no issues other than a short power cord. I was lucky enough to have an unused system fan connector in the right place, but others may need to purchase a 3-pin extension cable or use the included power adapters to plug it into a standard ATX 12V plug on their power supply. Anyway, this thing didn't add as much noise as I expected and the cooling results speak for themselves. My graphics card never gets above 74C now (it used to be 80C), its three fans shouldn't run as fast, and the card does indeed hit its advertised clock speed. In theory, all of this should give me a small performance boost and extend the life of an expensive graphics card. So at this point it would be very difficult for me not to recommend this cooler. I really hope the fans last a decent amount of time, but if not, it's cheap and quick to just buy a new unit!
