This Olympian Labs vanilla flavored pea protein powder was recently replaced with a product sold by Olympian Labs at Revain. Added SILICON DIOXIDE, LOTS! The previous version of the product did NOT contain any silica and was perfectly acceptable. For anyone wondering about the ingredients of consumed pea protein, it should have NO fillers or impurities. Olympian Labs recently added silica, apparently to dissolve the product, but it puts the consumer at risk of inhaling the silica if trying to put it in a container. Silicon dioxide has been shown to cause serious lung disease and even cancer when inhaled! It is a naturally occurring substance in the earth that is very similar in processing to finely ground GLASS. Anything natural is NOT necessarily healthy, and this is an example of a natural substance that does NOT need to be in a product for human consumption! Please give us back the pea protein that Olympian Labs made prior to this new version! I just returned mine to Revain and will not be buying again until an acceptable Olympian Labs pea protein formulation is available! Hopefully it's ORGANIC, free from sugar, fructose, soy and wheat and contains NO other fillers or unnecessary ingredients!
