The assembly was very easy. I used a rubber mallet to make sure the pieces were secure. I use a stand for a couple of heavy winter coats and it's very durable. I have over 50 lbs of coats in it and have a couple of heavy bags on the top shelf. I have a second rack for things like dresses and jackets. Again probably over 50 pounds of clothing and very durable. The case looks great! I was afraid that it would be crumpled, but it is absolutely smooth and made of excellent dense material. Take your time putting everything together to make sure everything is level and secure. Follow the step-by-step instructions and you will have absolutely no problems. VERY happy with this rack compared to others I've tried.
