Biggest pluses are the multiple configurations and depth adjustment. I bought this exclusively for my cast iron pots/pans. I use it on my Lodge 3Q, 5Q pot, pot and lid combo and cast iron wok, among others, but only on the lower/lower shelves. I put cast iron pans on the upper shelves. I'm not sure I would trust the heaviest pans on the top shelf in an upright position. To be on the safe side, I inserted a strong spiral binding through the anchors along the outside length of the frame to ensure the shelf anchors don't pop out and cause a potentially catastrophic cascading/domino effect. <8 (Good quality material. Fairly sturdy (although I would recommend securing the rack's mounting points to prevent accidental heavy pots falling onto the expensive granite countertop). Recommended at this price point.
