Originals became stiff and it was difficult to manually set them to Auto or Lock. I chose a set and that's it. Before installation, I compared the new with the old, they turned out to be identical. The materials appear to be the same. The cost of these hubs is less than half the cost of a pair of OEM hubs. Removing and installing the old hubs took about 20 minutes, fitting the new hubs with the retaining clip in place required little effort due to the new seals. A few hard taps with a screwdriver or hammer on the terminal was enough. Others warn against using just dry silicone lube on the selector if necessary, as WD40 or oils simply trap more dirt. Let's see how they hold up. FYI, you can take your old ones apart and clean them, but it's a pain. See YouTube. Here is a photo of my old one after disassembly. I'm glad I bought new ones instead of cleaning them and hoping for the best.
