Hello everyone, I bought two of these for my double bed. One at each end because my pets and pillows fell into the cracks (a dog that sleeps on its back rolled into the crack and got stuck at night causing panic). Not only does this close the space between the mattress and the head/footboard, making it safer for my pets and my pillows, but it also serves as a fairly comfortable pillow for the kitty. I bought one for the headboard first to make sure I liked it and then bought one for the footboard. The second came on a very cold day and took longer to expand than the first. So my advice, if you live in a cold area, let it warm up before expecting it to uncurl/expand.
