Just received today and though I am haven't tried everything, i'm impressed. I was looking for an old boombox but they are all either expensive or broken or just don't sound very good. While a vintage box would be more ideal, I love the idea of having something new to play my tapes with. The radio sounds very good and I've never turned the volume up past half in our kitchen. The radio sounds great too. The tone may vary from cassette to cassette due to deterioration over time or the way it was stored. The first tape I tried was one I pulled out of a 50 cent box without a case, an old Fleetwood Mac tape. It sounded amazing. I doubt I'll be using the card reader much. I'll give it a try and maybe use Bluetooth, but I'm very happy to hook up digital audio and record it to cassette to get that vintage feel. For $100 my search for a radio tape recorder is over. I will update if anything changes. *Update: I decided to buy a vintage box set but it's still available as I'm expanding my cassette collection. This is also my record reminder as my two older players can't rewind or finish the job. It still sounds great!
