Review on Board game GAGA Games Unmatched: Battle of Legends GG215 by Ada Socha ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend.

I played a little Dice Throne and despite the fact that there you need to roll dice and there seems to be a lot of randomness, for me there were more tactics and strategies than in unmatched. Has pros: The idea of duels with various asymmetrical characters, variety. If you buy "Fog over the pavement" with four more, then you will have 8 heroes, and therefore 23 different combinations of fighters. Add Robin Hood with Big Foot to your collection - get 10 fighters and as many as 45 different match-ups! Cons below: First, the character imbalance. In the base box it's Medusa, in the Mists it's Sherlock Holmes. We weaken them in home games by reducing the number of lives and the number of assistants, but they still remain the strongest, they are so unbalanced. The feeling that the authors themselves did not play their game. I don't believe that they played even 10 matches, let's say Medusa against Alice or Arthur, and they ended up with a score of 5-5. The second problem is the poverty of tactics. If you understand that your character is stronger in close combat, then you are trying to get close to the enemy and beat him up. Otherwise, you run around the map the whole game, hoping that you can hold out until your opponent runs out of cards.
