I bought this when I had a car in the garage that wasn't driven much. to charge the battery from a discharged state - it was easy to fully charge it, although it took about a day. It's been a long time, maybe 2 days ago, I don't remember now. It takes a while because it's not a jump starter, it's a battery tender - as the name suggests, but if you have the time it will bring a dead battery back to life. Prior to this purchase I had to regularly skip it to start it after not driving for a few weeks. With this tender it was easy to leave the quick disconnect switch connected to the battery, then I just unplugged it and drove while I was driving and plugged it back in when I got home. Worked perfectly - never had a test problem again. In this car I had it the rest of the time.
