I've only used the flashlight a couple of times. It was very bright at maximum settings. In fact, it blinded people if they looked at me while it was on. But the lower setting is bright enough to illuminate the area (it has a wide arc) and doesn't stop other people from looking at you. Lots of people marked it on the back strap because of the red light, but I was fine with that (possibly useful for cyclists or for working along the road as a safety light). I gave it 5 stars for the battery because I used it for about 20-30 minutes for 3 days in a row before charging and it fully charged in about 45 minutes or less. I gave it 4 stars for comfort because while it's comfortable I'm sure it could be made more comfortable.
