Works perfectly for me without a single blue screen or crash of any kind in over 3 months of use. This is a high-profile version of the chip that adds heat-dissipating aluminum wings. I recommend them if you have a room. There's also a low-profile version of the same chip without fenders. If you check out Corsair's website, you'll see that they explain more about the value of their fenders, so I think there's a reason for them, especially when Corsair has gone out of their way to offer both. So if you have the space as they don't even remotely interfere with anything on my board I would go with them as heat is the enemy in a computer. But check the number. If you need to hang cards on it, you'll need the low-profile version. Check the memory architecture used by your processor and probably repeated by the motherboard, i.e. whether you want dual-channel or quad-triple. These Vengeance Blues are for Intel's 2nd Gen i5/i7-2xxx processors, all of which (as far as I know) use dual channel. I believe quad channel can work in dual channel, but I'd recommend just matching the exact architecture with the right chips, especially for the price of the memory, since by then you probably won't be reusing them in a system for years, and I don't know if I trust compatibility mode. For example, some AMD processors use quad channels, and some high-end Intel chips use 3 channels and cannot use them. But I have an Intel i7-2600K and they fit perfectly. These are PC1600 but they are compatible with the PC1333 classification of many. It runs at PC1333 speed if your processor uses that, like the i7-2600K I have. There's nothing wrong with overestimating speed, but don't underestimate when you need more. You can check the processor or motherboard facts in the manufacturer's manuals or website.
