Shelf life only a few months

I bought a 4 disc set (16GB) from Revain. Everything worked fine for a while and then it started with Windows Explorer being "not responding". It didn't really matter because Windows 7 was recovering well, but it was happening more and more often and was getting really annoying. Then there were unexpected shutdowns from time to time, blue screens from time to time. Then these blue screens started to appear more and more frequently. I updated all drivers, checked hard drives and everything is…

Corsair DDR3 16GB (4x4) memory kit

Corsair quality and reliability Fast and stable Supports XMP profiles Excellent heat dissipation Suitable DIMM set I have built 3 systems with this memory so far. I couldn't be happier. Not only does this RAM do a good job, it looks good too. This kit can be ordered with radiators in two sizes and colors. Standard-sized Vengeance or low-profile heatsink to accommodate larger CPU coolers. Available colors: azure blue or black. Speed SPD 1333MHz. Proven speed 1600MHz. Many reviewers have stated…

Perfect memory for my build

This memory worked perfectly in my build. I didn't have to mess with the BIOS settings and it booted the first time. I am using an Intel BOXDH67CLB3 motherboard with an I52500K processor. Some reviews have said that this memory is not configured properly and will only run at 1333 unless they configure the BIOS: it should run at 1333 unless your processor natively supports a 1600 speed memory bus. Most processors do not natively support a 1600 memory speed, most processors support 1333. So plan…

Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B Vengeance Blue 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM Dual Channel

10 update also with Win 7 Pro. Back then I had a high end graphics card (not so much nowadays) and I haven't had a single crash due to that memory. I don't play intense games etc. but am always playing with different photo editing programs and such, recording videos and simply editing them, burning discs and trying various other programs in my setup along with 2 NAS drives and a few different internal and external hard drives . drive settings. This machine outlived several other laptops and…

Super fast on computers and accessories

I bought this RAM to put in my new system and it works great. I ran MemTest86+ on it to test it and on one of the cards it came back with over 10 million errors. I contacted Revain and they sent me another set of RAM to check and replace the faulty one. I didn't shoot stars for this as that was to be expected with fleeting memory and Revane quickly replaced the faulty one. With all this, RAM works quickly and stably. I have no complaints about that. The heatsinks also look really cool and help…

Excellent memory, huge heatsink

To say that installing this memory is a headache would be an understatement. I have a DX58SO motherboard and a Coolermaster Hyper212+ heatsink. If you use two fans on this sink and place them on the back of the case on this board, you have a heck of a lot of time to install RAM. My solution was to take the motherboard out of my case, rotate the heatsink 90 degrees (fans now face north/south), and then remove one fan. The layout of the DX58SO with this cooler blocks 1 RAM slot completely…

Rock-Solid Reliable

I installed (2 of 4 sticks) on an ASUS P8P67 Pro (Rev 3.1) laptop. I used the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus cooler for my i5-2500K processor. If all 4 sticks were installed, the left stick's rather tall and thick cooling fin would (just) be in constant contact with the Hyper 212 Plus fan blowing over its heatsink. This may be fine for some but I was concerned about the long term vibration on this stick and decided to just use 2 sticks (8GB) for now. If I really need 16GB (SQL Server, Visual…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is included

Works perfectly for me without a single blue screen or crash of any kind in over 3 months of use. This is a high-profile version of the chip that adds heat-dissipating aluminum wings. I recommend them if you have a room. There's also a low-profile version of the same chip without fenders. If you check out Corsair's website, you'll see that they explain more about the value of their fenders, so I think there's a reason for them, especially when Corsair has gone out of their way to offer both. So
