We ordered the small size (6-7 years old) for my recent 7 year old. They fit him perfectly and I hope they stay that way for the rest of the season as he is definitely at the end of their fit. I would say they fit true to size. He said they were comfortable and kept his hands warm during breaks and while waiting for the bus. He hasn't used them in the snow for a long time, so I can't comment on that.
