Thirsty Yet Cooler: Internal Components

Reasonable price and no need to contact ebay seller. Compared to the W3530 quad-core replacement, it replaces. This processor is memory hungry! But it doesn't offer much gaming performance. For non-gaming use, it handles Windows applications with ease. The processor overall stays cooler than the W3530 under both moderate and heavy usage. However, if you like PC gaming, you really need a lot of physical RAM. In my experience, 16GB was the bare minimum. Often the CPU usage was at 80% or at 80% and the system was hit. It crashed many times and suffered from serious frame drops and a bunch of lag. All were tested while playing games in full screen and windowed modes at 2560 x 1440 resolutions at Ultra or Max settings. I have never experienced a complete system crash. Previously, Control+Alt+Delete aborted fine with heavy processing without complications. *Results for 2010 Mac Pro 5.1 running Windows 10 Pro on a PCIe SSD adapter card.
