Review on πŸŒ€ NewAir WindPro18F: High-Velocity Industrial Shop Floor Fan with 3000 CFM - 18 Inch, 3 Speed Settings, Portable and Black by Maria Rodriguez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not so loud, short chord, well built - now it's dead!

Looks like good quality. I have worn out at least 5 ducted floor fans over the last 20+ years so I decided to take a chance and buy this Bering sphere fan. I have paid over $50 for a Lake Wood hub fan in the past and it seems to be the best quality. My only concern is that the chord is a bit short, but I fixed that with a hefty (shortened) DIY extension chord. I read that many users remark that this fan is noisy. In my opinion it is no louder than any other fan of the same size, box or round. In fact, my wife and I use a fan mainly for the noise that helps us fall asleep. We both found it quite tiring compared to what we are used to. In about six months I'll be taking the fan apart to clean it of dust balls etc and I'll try to post some photos of its bearings, shafts and other bloody fan innards. So far I would recommend. June 2021 update. Well it died about two months ago. It worked fine, then stopped. I use it at home and have taken it apart once or twice to clean it but haven't opened the case. Now it's tripped, I think it's the thermal circuit breaker. When he passed out, he wasn't even warm. I had a Lakewood fan who did this before. Seems like it's impossible to get a good fan these days! Skip this piece of crap and buy a $20 boxed fan. At least if it dies, you won't have much left! (I have two that I have been using in class for over 12 years and they still work)

Pros
  • Household fans
Cons
  • Slightly torn
