Review on πŸš— Auxbeam 2 Pcs 4 inch LED Pods 18W Spot Beam Driving Lights for Jeep, ATV, UTV, Truck, Offroad Vehicle - No Wiring Harness Included by Marcus Merritt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

After buying some AUXBEAM lamps, there are more defects than usual. Bright lights, but pay attention to these problems!

Here is my list of the pros and cons of buying 9 different LED bulbs from AUXBEAM over the last few weeks. I'll break it down for you so you can make an informed decision on whether this light is right for you. Most issues I had would be a reason to return them, but having worked in aviation for 17 years as a mechanic it was possible to overcome the quality control issues I had. Most people won't be so lucky. Of the 9 lamps I bought, 5 turned out to be defective. I bought 18W 4" SPOT and FLOODS floodlights and a 42" curved lightbar and found similar issues with all of them. PROS: very bright light that beats its price, well designed body and LED lens. Waterproof after a short water test. easy to connect and install with included brackets - well packaged and delivery was very quick - CREE LEDs worked better in my opinion CONS: (we're getting into quality control issues here) - one of the 4" headlights had no threads on the body at all. I had to cut new threads as shown in the photos - the 42" curved thread of the led panel was painted on the inside making it impossible to re-thread the mounting screw. I had to cut the threads and screw in a hole and screw to clean up the threads - almost all the lights had bare wires showing where the insulation had been sheared off. CHECK YOUR CABLES for this CUT MARK! The 42" curved silicone LED panel was leaking and needed a heavy duty silicone gasket to seal properly. UPDATED: AUXBEAM helped me and helped with my problems. I really like these lights but can't give them 5 stars until quality control improves.
