This item has been returned. The screws are loose. I tightened them but they didn't sit well on my bed. I always had the feeling that my laptop was about to fall over. It's more of a tray compartment. It seemed too easy to knock over. When my $1,500 laptop balanced on it, it was just awful. I had to hang the laptop halfway across the table so there was some room for the mouse. The plastic inserts can also be easily removed. If you just want this for a tablet holder and maybe a snack deck, with some glue this might be the idea for you. Although it didn't help me at all.
