Review on πŸ’‘ BV-Tech 5 Port Gigabit PoE Switch: 4 PoE Ports + 1 Uplink – 65W – 802.3af/at by Michael Powell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does the job: computers and accessories

I have this switch to operate two wireless access points and a POE camera. Everything is working fine. My APs require a decent amount of power at 15W each, TP-Link AC1750 Wi-Fi AP (Supports 802.3AT PoE+, Dual Band, 802.11AC, Ceiling Mount, 3x3 MIMO Technology) (EAP245) POE is very handy as it gives me allowed need to set the hotspots high so that the signal strength is very good throughout the house and yard. POE Camera Doesn't Consume Much Power Likely 10W Bullet PoE CCTV IP Camera Unitech WDR Night Vision 2560x1440 IR Bullet Camera Network Mini Surveillance IP Camera Lens 3.6mm IP67, weatherproof outdoor security camera does not get very hot. It's only slightly warm. Make sure you disable flow control on your router/gateway's trunk port. I had some issues with two APs, but after installing FC throughput was stable at gigabit speeds. There are a few minor flaws here, but they don't change the game: The power connector is on the opposite side of the box. from the ethernet ports, which makes it take up a bit more space where it's placed. The Ethernet sockets don't have any connection or status indicators, instead there's a separate LED bar on the left that shows individual status, but isn't too easy to read.
