I received my UltraFire mini flashlights last week. They seem solid and well made. After about seven years of bad luck with the Doo-rah Sell mini flashlights, I got the "C" Wholesale Club. I had flashlights, no bat. Yes, they were always replaced/refunded when they broke, but one of the reasons I keep flashlights handy is for emergencies when being able to see my surroundings is important. The incredible failure rate of flashlights sold at Du-rah when simply stored was staggering and disappointing. I remembered and found that the only mini flashlights that worked for many years were imported nameless ones and my wonderful Coast keychains. So I thought we needed a change. One of the things I really like about these UltraFire mini flashlights is that they use a single AA battery instead of the three AAA batteries used in my other failure-prone flashlights. I carry a lot of AA batteries with me and have found the Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries to be exceptional in terms of the number of charge cycles they can handle as well as their shelf life when charged. One feature of the UltraFires that intrigued me was the ability to use a 3.7V 14500 Li-Ion battery for brighter light. I bought a little. The UltraFIre minis produced a very respectable light from a standard AA battery, but the increased brightness of the 14500 batteries made the purchase worthwhile for me. UltraFires' focusing ability adds versatility to devices. The wide beam offers a wide view of the surroundings. When zoomed in, the light pattern appears square up close, but I found it casts a bright ray far into the distance outdoors at night. One of my UltraFires wasn't focusing properly so I contacted the supplier. They apologized profusely and told me they would send a replacement - they wanted everyone who bought their products to be completely satisfied. Two days later (!) I received my free replacement which was perfect. Discount or other reward for this purchase. I just love to applaud a product that is well made and perhaps even more so a supplier that provides such exceptional customer service. Glory!
