I had my caravan at home during this whole COVID thing, with SSP-XL surge protectors plugged into my year-old external 30A socket that was installed when I got the new one switch box had. Furnished. I noticed that the AC in the trailer kept tripping the circuit breaker and the electricity in my hideout was flickering (two different circuits). So before calling an electrician or van dealer I decided on a whim to turn off the surge protector as you always fix the obvious first and the surge protector was less than 8 months old. Lo and behold, the caravan's AC switch didn't work for three weeks (it worked every other day), and the electricity in the cave didn't flicker either. I'm a mechanical engineer, not an electrical engineer, but that doesn't make sense to me. So based on my experience I will not be using this surge protector again despite the blue and green lights on. At first I decided to buy a cheaper device and it looks like that was a mistake. I'll try to contact the company and discuss the situation, but at this point I have to assume I don't have $100. Used with caution when checking polarity of camping power supply, but never connect a power cord to it again.
