connected to the printer's LPT port. added a power plug. connected directly to the computer via a network cable. changed the IP address to a fixed IP address compatible with our network. went to our router and reserved IP. disconnected from my direct computer and plugged into our switch. downloaded the drivers to my computers on our network and started typing. what more do you want. keeps my old Laser Jet 4 online and working with new computers. Easy to set up. Tried another one (t-link), it was terrible. It's very easy! Has a web interface to manage settings. The supplied CD is unusable. didn't work on my computer.
