Easy setup despite the bad CD that came with it

connected to the printer's LPT port. added a power plug. connected directly to the computer via a network cable. changed the IP address to a fixed IP address compatible with our network. went to our router and reserved IP. disconnected from my direct computer and plugged into our switch. downloaded the drivers to my computers on our network and started typing. what more do you want. keeps my old Laser Jet 4 online and working with new computers. Easy to set up. Tried another one (t-link), it…

Works great but some knowledge of IP addressing is helpful

I bought this print server and a new wireless router when my old wireless router and print server combo died. I first set up a wireless router and then added a printer. I think it never occurred to D-Link that anyone would want to use this gadget with a modern operating system. Visiting the D-Link website didn't help - there was no…

Works great with my HP LaserJet 2100

This product was purchased to connect an HP LaserJet 2100 laser printer to our work network. It only has one parallel port, and the computer I wanted to use it with had to be across the room from the network switch. This product worked great. The only problem you might encounter is that your network doesn't match the default IP scheme pre-programmed into the device. That's how it was with my setup - I had a block of IP addresses that I needed to use on my work network. If you need to follow a…
