The screw itself is well made and works as it should. They did, however, include 1 1/2" socket head screws instead of self-tapping screws. Yes, some garage doors have pre-drilled holes, but you'll probably have luck if only one set of pre-drilled holes will fit. Get a pair of #12 x 1-inch hex head screws for that Sheet metal. Most frame/door rails have a vertical slot or a punched rectangular hole that you can align the latch with to protect your door. I also recommend getting a garage guard and I'd love it if someone got one remote controlled deadbolt on a separate frequency, that way the deadbolt would stay locked even if he were faking the door lock.
