Make sure you are using the correct USB-C cable or your phone will not connect to Dex. I recommend getting a stand as the lid doesn't do well for it. Again, for the money and not having to carry a laptop, I'm happy. Several clues. If you are using your phone as a Dex keyboard, make sure you connect USB power directly to the screen. This will charge your phone and provide enough power for the screen. I think you can use a USB-C hub to connect a full keyboard and mouse, but I don't remember trying that, the phone is enough for me, but if I need to code something on the go, the keyboard /mouse is safely disconnected.
