Make sure you are using the correct USB-C cable or your phone will not connect to Dex. I recommend getting a stand as the lid doesn't do well for it. We're temporarily living in our house on wheels, and I really missed having two monitors for work. I saw this one on sale and thought I might return it if it didn't work. I love it. It easily connects to my laptop and there is enough desk space for both. I really like that it has its own lid that converts into a stand. However, I was having trouble getting the stand to work properly, so I flipped it over and used it that way. There are some quirks, but overall a great purchase.

I bought it from this review about 4 months ago (August 2021) and have been using it for many hours daily ever since. I use it on my desk, pack it for work on the go and have never had any complaints. Sometimes it turns off briefly, but I can't say for sure it's the screen and not my laptop as I haven't tried troubleshooting. Anyway, it happens so rarely that it doesn't bother me. I have to say that calling this a portable monitor that you can "take anywhere" is not entirely accurate. You should be able to sit next to an outlet, very close by, as the power cord is just over 3 feet long. So you are limited as to where you can place it. Using it with my laptop works great as a second screen. I tried using it with my fancy iPhone 11 and it didn't work that well with the attachment I had to use. The nozzle overheated and I didn't get good image quality. Maybe it was a movie I was watching and maybe Verizon's high-speed network. I suggest using it as a second laptop screen. Too much spaghetti for iPhone use (set-top box, power cord, video cable).

The monitor has been flickering with 2 cables since the purchase. I guess it doesn't really matter since I only use this monitor when traveling. Now I realize it's too painful for my eyes but I lost the return period. Please be careful with this monitor. The seller does not respond to my request with this complaint. I took a chance and bought it from stock instead of a new one. Condition was reported as 'good' and may have had minor cosmetic issues. The screen arrived perfectly packaged and in its original condition. Literally the find of the year! The screen size is perfect for a laptop screen. The only downside is that it works best over USBC and I only have one port...and I also need it to charge my laptop. I will survive this because it solves my problem!
