The shorter version isn't actually that good for tight spaces, as the spring's retaining lugs become awkward.
This should be standard on all air hammer bit sets. Although it is believed to be used for bodywork. I use this to remove rust on the suspension or anything else rusty like brake drums. The shorter version is actually not so good for tight spaces because the spring retaining tabs get in the way.
