As the title suggests - This is not a genius item. It works well but comes with very limited instructions just for syncing with the main device. I usually swap out the included battery for the longer life Duracell on items like these, but was surprised at how difficult it was to open the battery cover. . Once inside I saw why - this model doesn't use a 22/23 battery like the Genie model, it uses a disc battery. Instead of opening the battery cover by pressing the tab to release the cover, you now need to remove the screw under the sun visor's metal clip. Since the clip is held in place by plastic pins that lock it in place, you'll need to insert a thin flathead screwdriver under the clip to slide it over the pins. Not very difficult, but not as easy as clicking a tab. It's worth the $10 I paid, but it would be better if it came with more complete instructions.
