Review on DEWALT D26950 Heat Gun - Yellow by Jay Kenville

I've owned this gun for 14 months but have only used it a couple of times to shrink wrap on electrical connectors. The last time I tried the gun, the motor was running but not getting hot. I took it to a repair center and they said you are right, the motor runs but doesn't get hot. There is also no way to repair it as there are no replacement parts for this tool. I called Devalt. They said you have a one-year replacement warranty and a three-year warranty against defects. I said that this heat gun is broken. They said it couldn't be repaired because there were no spare parts and it couldn't be replaced because you've had it for over a year. you have the idea You're leading me in circles. 3 year warranty is a joke. The repair center said that if your Dewalt tool breaks after a year, you're basically done. They said Dewalt had the worst warranty service of any tool maker they repair. I have always used Dewalt tools in the past but this experience opened my eyes and made me realize that they are good at marketing but their tools don't support it. 6/11 - I have just received a new hair dryer from Dewalt. Having owned the pistol for 14 months I have been told that it cannot be replaced or repaired. Not sure what changed, but THANK YOU to Dewalt for the right fix. I am happy to return the Dewalt heat gun because I replaced it with a Wagner which also didn't work.
