Swinging in my sleep

Nobody loves their beauty rest quite like me! I have dealt with what seems like endless back pain because of my early breast development and working in the construction field; a good night of sleep just doesn’t seem to come around as often as it should. Luckily for me I have found an amazing product that has its flaws, but overall has helped me get a good night’s rest again and again. I have used countless mattresses and three different types of hammocks and I have learned what works best for me is the Vivere BRAZ400 Brazilian Style Double Deluxe Hammock.Comfort: The Brazilian style hammock is perfect for sleeping in as a regular bed for a few reasons. Unlike a bed with springs it has no pressure points which helps to alleviate back pain while sleeping. The tight-knit cotton canvas is not only soft enough, but provides a flat and secure surface when utilized correctly. What seems to work best for me is to lay on the hammock at a 45 degree angle for good stabilization. It is very easy to relax in as well because of the slight swinging that is constantly happening while lying in the hammock. The hammock is breathable also, which is good on warm nights, but for colder nights a few heavy blankets need to be added to keep warm enough. Getting in and out of the hammock is definitely the most uncomfortable part and if you like to get in and out of bed a lot I would not recommend having a hammock as your main bed. Overall the Vivere hammock sets the bar for a comfortable bed and is great for getting a better night’s sleep if you have back issues.Appearance: I live in America where hammock sleeping isn’t generally accepted as a societal norm. Many people make snarky remarks to be honest and it does take some getting used to. Besides that matter, the hammock comes in an elegant off-white color with lace sides which is perfect for an indoor hammock because it does not look out of place or like it belongs outdoors. This certain hammock however only comes in white, which makes it hard to keep clean. This should be kept in mind when picking a perfect hammock for you. The cloth sometimes nicks as well, which can be fixed with a few snippets of scissors. Luckily, almost all of the cons of the appearance are small and can be easily overlooked. In general, the appearance works well with most set-ups and is perfect for a small room because it saves space.Price: Almost every hammock is cheaper than a quality bed, however this particular hammock is on the expensive end for a hammock at $99.97. If it will be only be used seasonal or on special occasions I would not waste money on this high end hammock. If you will be using it regularly or to sleep in like me, then I believe this hammock is well worth the price. You are paying for a double hammock which uses more fabric and not to mention it is a "deluxe” hammock which comes into play. Considering these factors it makes sense that it costs more than the average hammock. I got free shipping when I bought this item on Best Buy.com and it arrived the same week which was a plus. This hammock also lasts about two years when used every day and most of the cheaper hammocks that offer the same comfort only last about 6 months, making the price worth it in the end.Size: This Brazilian style hammock is a double and needs at least a nine foot space to use correctly. The stand that comes with it is a lightweight "space saving” stand which makes it easy to set up in most rooms. The hammock comfortably fits someone up to about 6’4 before limbs start hanging off the edges. I am 5’6 so I have no problem fitting myself on this hammock with lots of space to spare. Since it is a double sometimes it will "cocoon” you while asleep making it a bit claustrophobic when you wake up if you’re not used to having fabric over you. The size of this hammock contributes greatly to the comfort factor and makes it easier to spread out on. Since the stand is only 9’ by 3’ feet it also saves space in your room and makes a crowded room feel bigger. This size hammock is ideal for virtually any room because it doesn’t take up more space than it needs to. It also takes me approximately seven minutes to take down the hammock and stand, so if more space is needed it doesn’t take much time or effort to make more room.Durability: This hammock holds up to 430 pounds, though I wouldn’t recommend this weight every night because it will stretch out faster. The nice thing about the stand is that it has adjustable holes, so if it does stretch out you can put it on a higher setting and it will feel as if it never stretched out. As mentioned before it does nick occasionally, but not often enough for it to be ruined. The fabric holds up through average wear and tear for inside use. If wanted for outside use I would recommend a double non-deluxe vivere version in polyester or sunbrella fabrics. The stand is a heavy-duty metal that is surprisingly lightweight and can withstand a lot of weight at a time. The lace ends on the sides do fringe over time, but don’t look bad and therefore don’t affect the appearance. Overall, the Vivere 400BRAZ Brazilian Style double deluxe hammock is perfect for everyday use or sleeping and personally helps me get a better nights rest than a bed ever has. Not only does it have a nice appearance, it is more durable than most hammocks, and is the perfect size for one to spread out and sleep on. Not to mention the relief it has given my back! I am definitely buying this hammock again despite the few flaws that accompany it. I hope this review is helpful and any questions that arise while reading it don’t be afraid to ask!
