Review on Yonico 14182Q Biscuit Cutter Router by Brian Samuel

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Seems like a good chunk, but the gap it cuts is a bit.

Sounds like a good part, but the slot it cuts is too thick for 20 biscuits. This leaves some slop and the pieces will not line up. I even soaked the cookies in water to tighten them up, but it's still too fluffy. I used a biscuit micrometer (Dewalt size 20) and they are perfect for 5/32. I use this on a very high quality router table with an Incra router lift. Next, I order a nozzle with a white side to try. The tip cuts great and is the first Yonica tip I've ever had problems with. The cutting blade also comes in a 5/32 size, I can only assume the blades are slightly misaligned causing the slot to be too wide. After trying another bit I will update this review.

Pros
  • Fine-grain C3 tungsten carbide blades for a sharper, more durable edge
Cons
  • Requires a rosette
