Overall I think this is a great product that offers a very good solution to a serious problem: the lack of a Kensington security slot on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2015 model). I reviewed various products on Revain before settling on them, largely due to the high reviews of Maclocks in general, and I'm glad I did. I don't usually write extensive reviews for Revain, but I chose this product because it's not available yet. The kit includes the following items: * A stainless steel "eyelet" that is physically attached * A set of two security screws (only one is needed, the other is spare). * Inexpensive tool to remove the factory screw and add the included one. * Two new "feet" that fit over the factory back. * Alcohol pad to prepare the bottom of the laptop before installing the new feet. * Well-illustrated user manual, nice and short and easy to understand. * Matching 4-digit combination lock with 6 meter cable. The installation took me less than 5 minutes. Basically, here's how it works: turn your MBP over, remove the factory screw on one side, reattach the tab and secure with one of the included screws (which has a longer body to accommodate the extra thickness of the tab) . . Then clean the two rear legs with an alcohol wipe and attach the new legs one at a time. This is necessary to prevent the MBP from rocking on edge as it is quite thick and curved at the bottom. The included feet actually have a concave interior so the factory feet fit inside. I think it's a nice detail that shows more care than usual on Maclock's part. As another reviewer pointed out, the screws provided by McLockey are soft and can be damaged if overtightened. I ended up throwing away the first screw and putting in the second because I didn't think I was paying attention the first time. I recommend applying light downward pressure when tightening the screw and VERY CAREFULLY hand tightening. Do not use the supplied tool carelessly like a regular screwdriver. BENEFITS* The tab has a great design and blends in well with the overall look of the MBP.* Quick and easy installation.* The extra "legs" add a professional finish. They can be easily ruined if you don't tighten them very carefully. which I gave the product 4 instead of 5 stars. Final thought: keep an eye on the factory screw in case you decide to remove the protrusion! It is tiny and easily lost. I have no idea where mine went, but oh well, the protrusion just needs to stay in place. Not the worst!
