Identical to TruckSpec TS-82FL. This is clearly a copy of the old RadioShack magnetic mount CB antennas which are themselves clones of the old Antenna Specialists antennas from the 1970's and 1980's with a base load coil under a spring. SWR out of the box is almost flat 1.3-1.4 on all 40th CB channels. tested with Uniden PRO520XL, Luiton LT-298 and portable CB Uniden PRO401HH with BNC to SO-239 UHF adapter with compact sedan roof antenna (Chevrolet Cruze 2014). Channel 19 with Uniden 520 and LT-298 with positive feedback from truckers on channel. 19. Works received as expected. The SWR is expected to be a little less flat when the antenna is trunk mounted, but I think installing ground straps to improve counterpoise (ground) will solve the problem. Even without this, it does its job when it is installed on the trunk. Don't expect it to outperform a full size antenna like the Wilson 1000, Wilson 5000 or K40. This is closer to the Hustler IC-100, K30, Hustler IC-11B, or Wilson Little Wil antennas. Performance is also comparable to NMO antennas for terrestrial mobile devices such as Browning's BR-140 series and the like. The magnetic mount itself has worked flawlessly so far. There are no complaints. Spring helps a lot.
