I haven't seen many reviews of using this mold killer but decided to give it a try. My attic (flat roof, 21" aisle height with 15" fiberglass insulation) had a bad mold smell from some roof leaks. The smell entered my 3rd floor and air ducts. The mold remediation specialists said they had to take several $800 worth of air samples before they would give me an estimate. The usual solution was to rip the drywall and insulation off, probably even off the walls, and maybe rip out the carpet and throw out the furniture. They did the attic, walls, etc. Air purifiers, hazmat suits, etc. Oh! I ran the generator in each of the 4 locations in the attic for 3 hours and raised it above the insulation (ozone is heavier than air so place the generator high). After the first, the air smelled normal. I ran through the other three spaces on the top floor and through all the rooms on the 3rd floor. I turned off the AC so it wouldn't get in the house until the final treatment (to get the air ducts). It's been about 2 weeks and the attic still smells fresh. The ozone appears to be permeating through the painted drywall and substructure to some degree, judging by the smell (it smells). I tried to be careful with ozone inhalation and left the house when there was a strong smell. Then I had a sore throat. Can't wait to see if the mold has died or will grow back over time. Will try to post an update in a month or so to say if that was the case. The instructions for the generator say nothing about its use. I did a lot of research on the internet to find out how to do this. Ozone will kill mold if its concentration is high enough for long enough. Ozone can damage plastic coatings on cables, plants, organic materials like rubber (gaskets?) and oxidize metal. The corrosion expert told me he didn't think it would damage the plastic tubing. I don't see any damage yet.
