I bought this burlap to attach the scratching posts to my cat's tower. 50 feet doesn't get very far, and I quickly ran out and wrapped around the shortest bottom post. I suggest ordering a larger roll than you need to wrap the scratching post. I bought extra burlap at a local hardware store and found that the store I bought was inferior in many ways. Creepy jute rope in a nice warm color. The rope is also much softer and more pliable and very easy to work with (in contrast, buying it in the store was a struggle). I am not happy with the finished texture of store bought jute and prefer the smooth finished texture of Life-giving. Ultimately, my cat doesn't care which burlap I used and crawls/crawls happily through life.
