I bought this to replace the string on a cat scratching post. In fact, this is much better than the cord that came with the column. I am very happy with the quality and durability. Give the reviewer a call who suggested ordering twice as much as you think you need. I measured and would only buy one. I definitely needed two.

Good rope for Shibari beginners. Of all the ropes I've tried, I prefer jute, but the cotton rope I got from SGT is pretty good too. Nothing beats jute, and the classic rope-pulling sound of tying adds a nice element. Mine took a while to be air conditioned as it arrived quite rude but you cannot refund the cost.

I used this rope to cover up the uprooted posts on my cat's scratching post. It did a great job. The color is perfect and it looks very clean. I've been wearing it around my scratching post for about 2 months now and it's held up to scratches and kitten abuse :) I'm very happy with the quality of this rope and would definitely recommend it for do-it-yourself ceiling attachment.

I have been looking for jute rope for a long time and was so glad I found it here. It was a bit thicker than I expected but worked great for a project I was making (see photo). I hate/love that I used the whole reel for my project like wow I included it all but also glad I didn't fall short. This is a high quality and durable rope. I would buy again.

My cats tore off most of the jute from their two favorite scratching posts. I bought this jute rope because it was suitable for scratching posts. It turned out to be a bit thicker than the original rope on the bars, but it still worked great as a replacement. I'm also glad my cats started using the freshly repaired bars right away. Reusing a new rope was a lot cheaper than buying new poles!

This jute rope is of good quality and the perfect diameter for a cat scratching post. You can find YouTube videos showing how to wrap a post without using staples, nails, etc. Works great. Remember that a 50 foot roll of this jute rope is just enough to make ONE regular height scratching post (similar to the one you can see in the product photos). If you want to make more than one pole, or a taller than average pole, you'll need more than one roll of jute rope.

Cheap jute rope. As others have said, an excessive kerosene smell will require multiple washes/heats to remove. The large slivers of fiber present in the rope require considerable force to break/remove. Lots of fluff, needs to be lit. I bought this burlap to attach the scratching posts to my cat's tower. 50 feet doesn't get very far, and I quickly ran out and wrapped around the shortest bottom post. I suggest ordering a larger roll than you need to wrap the scratching post. I bought extra burlap at a local hardware store and found that the store I bought was inferior in many ways.
