I ordered 8 to install a pair of plywood shelves that are 8 feet long and 2 feet deep in my garage. They are well built in and look the same in quality and size. I installed them into studs through drywall and you will need 3 mounting screws per bracket to install them. I used 3 1/2" and 5/16" screws. To attach the shelf to the bracket, I used 1" machine screws and #8 screws that I flush with the plywood. You can use up to 3 screws per bracket to attach the shelf, but I only have used two. As another reviewer mentioned, if you're concerned about looks they are finished in a gray silver color. Don't expect the 'shiny' look of stainless steel or aluminum as pictured. After all, it's a shelf bracket !But I had no luck finding this size at my local hardware store.Revain is back to help!
