Not a perfect replacement

Call me crazy but I expect the hot water faucet to turn counter clockwise but the red bottom faucet marked "H" turned clockwise. Luckily "C" worked in reverse. Unfortunately. You can't know this until it's fully installed. The inner diameter of the faucet washer is too large and will not stay in place when tightened. A trip to the plumbing store revealed washers that also centered the faucet in the hole, connected to a plastic nut that my sink wrench found much easier to grip than the brass nuts in the kit. The supplied supply hoses were 20" - too short for my needs, but my old hoses were still fine. Two 8" hoses are included for connecting hot and cold to a (actually handy) swiveling faucet. This works well for 16" faucet holes, but they crimp for 8" holes. If you like your hot water regulator to the right of the faucet, they are still crimped but allow for some reduction in flow. So the solution is another trip to the Plumbing store for a 1/2" fitting, a 1/2"-2-1/2" nipple, and two 12" hoses with 1/2" fittings on both ends (about US$30 -dollars). ).
