Review on Graduation Interval measuring: An Exclusive Indicator by Loren Jacobson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent quality for the price; not Starrett quality, but not that expensive either.

My first impression upon opening the plastic case (not foam!) was decent quality for the price. I'm a hobby mechanic and I don't need Starrett or Mitutoyo quality (along with the Starrett or Mitutoyo price tag). The only thing that bothers this indicator so far: after not very much use, the arrow does not simply reset to zero, it gets stuck at the bottom of its movement. I removed the side cover to see the mechanical mechanism that transmits the motion of the tip to the needle (it's like a mechanical watch: tiny gears and all). Since I didn't notice any error, I rebuilt it and now it works perfectly. (The screws holding the side panel were fairly tight for their size, hopefully simply removing and replacing them fixed the issue.)

Pros
  • Test, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Available in white only
