Good choice if you need more features

This is not a top Mitutoyo but it is excellent value for money with a large ANGULAR dial making it easy to read , accurate and repeatable has a range of 0.060" with a dial like a regular indicator. The accessories are correct and well made. The extra range and angled scale make it easier to use as regular test indicators. The metal frame is comfortable to the touch and the Additional points can be surface treated for more accuracy.

Buyer warning! suitable for measuring dimensions

Seems to be quite well made. Maybe not well thought out, I can't say. There isn't a good way to mount it to the base of the indicator, I wanted it to point straight at the end of the indicator arm and figured the brass adapter would do the trick, but it wouldn't tip over and flop and fall when I put it let it. I would only be 100% sure it would fit your setup, but if you have a normal indicator base it won't work, at least it won't work like any other normal indicator I've used.

Pros
  • Turn signals and accessories
Cons
  • Discontinued model

My first impression upon opening the plastic case (not foam!) was decent quality for the price. I'm a hobby mechanic and I don't need Starrett or Mitutoyo quality (along with the Starrett or Mitutoyo price tag). The only thing that bothers this indicator so far: after not very much use, the arrow does not simply reset to zero, it gets stuck at the bottom of its movement. I removed the side cover to see the mechanical mechanism that transmits the motion of the tip to the needle (it's like a…
