Perfect for what I need.
Laptops are getting smaller as I/O ports get smaller and internal devices disappear. I needed a way to create a kind of docking station that connects my printer, scanner, mouse and the internet. Lo and behold, this single USB dongle had it all. The only downside for me is that the cord is only an inch shorter so I can hide it somewhere safe. I made a cardboard stand to make a poor man's dock. :)
