Works well but has flaws

I have several sports cars and have needed one of these tools for quite some time as it has become obsolete from going back and forth between the inflator cartridge and my pressure gauge. box you will need to install a standard compressor air hose quick disconnect with PTFE thread seal tape. Both are included in the box. Also tighten the air chuck on the hose fitting as it may loosen and allow air to escape. What I really liked about this gauge: * Sturdy and durable metal construction, except for the digital gauge which has a decent rubber protector. *Very easy to inflate my tires to the exact pressure. * The chuck can be easily attached and removed from the tire valve stems and without leakage. * Digital pressure gauge readings are not valid when inflated or deflated, but will quickly fix to the actual reading once tire pressure is no longer changed. * Was accurate to within 0.1psi compared to my very accurate Michelin tire gauge. *Uses AAA batteries, not CR2032 button cell batteries which all my other tire gauges seem to use. Batteries are included. Problems I encountered with this device: * Does not work when using NiMH AAA batteries. I'm a big fan of NiMH batteries which have low storage discharge and use them for everything. I hate throwing away disposable batteries. Pressure gauge with freshly charged NiMH batteries will indicate low battery and randomly turn off.* Pressure readings were in bar not psi when first used. The instructions (see my photo for full instructions) do not describe how to change pressure units. Purely by accident, by accidentally pressing the "ON" and "FUNC" buttons for different lengths of time, I was able to switch the unit to PSI. Luckily it still measures in PSI but I have no idea how to reset it when it resets to BAR. to illuminate the screen, not to turn the sensor on or off. * The "FUNC" key doesn't do anything that I can tell. For this product to get 5 stars in my opinion it needs to work with rechargeable AAA batteries and better instructions for changing units along with operational use.
