I always appreciate it when someone takes the time to review a product, so I want to thank them. It was an ALMOST perfect lamp. i like the style i like the size I like the light that is there. However, that's what I don't like about it. To turn on the lamp, press the button on the front of the base. This part is handy. BUT it can also be dimmed, so you touch it a few more times to get the perfect brightness. While that's a plus, if you opt for the brightest setting, which is the first touch, you'll have to touch it four more times to turn it off. This was a deal breaker for me. Sometimes I touched it too quickly and it went back to the first take. If that doesn't bother you, you'll love this lamp. As I said, the style is beautiful and the quality is excellent. I just couldn't live with the inconvenience of pressing the button so many times throughout the day. If you turn it on once and leave it on, it might not be such a problem. There are many lamps available online and I was able to find the best one for my needs. Perhaps this style will be available with a different switch type in the future. Maybe people love him for what he is, but I definitely don't!
