I have to say I'm not particularly 'green' but I hate that 'big cars' have implemented a profit model where You have to throw away a whole lot of wiper arm instead of simply replacing a worn brush. What a waste! Yes, I've tried some aftermarket brushes, but wipers are designed to break and not pick up a new brush. So every 6 months I detach my expensive wiper arm and throw plastic in it which will eventually become part of the microplastic problem. Sigh. If you're going to be polluting the environment anyway, I think you should at least do it with the best wiper arm you can find. Bosch wipers fit easily. They don't rattle on the windshield and are easy to install. But they wear out after about 6 months under the scorching Maryland sun and occasional torrential rain. Every time I need to replace a blade, I think of this old 1970's pollution advert featuring a crying Native American. That's exactly how I feel when I throw this big plastic piece of excellent German engineering in the dustbin. .Now I have to hug a tree or something else to feel better.
