I like the design of this product. Just so you know the suction cups on the mounting plate will not stick to the kayak. I used the screws provided to attach the base which is very secure. The flex arm is strong and flexes very well against the kayak. The main issue is the pivot point from the base to the arm. It's plastic and broke in the first season of use. I tried to fix because I like this design but to no avail. My Opinion on the Manufacturer: It would be a great product if the pivot was stainless steel instead of plastic. I give it 1 because of the design. This is an expensive mount and a waste of money. I would not buy this product.
