This small HP printer produces the most incredible 4x6 and 5x7 prints on HP Advanced Photo Paper, a glossy photo paper. I'm surprised every time I make a print. I usually work with the wide format Epson Stylus Pro 4000 which contains 8 inks. That HP found a way to achieve these results with just three colors is amazing. The images are clear, the colors are accurate, the picture is flawless. You feel like you are looking at a print made "the old fashioned way" in a quality lab. I love the fact that every time you change ink cartridges you automatically change printheads as they are an integral part of the cartridge itself. This should make clogs fairly rare. I just went through my first cartridge and not a single problem. As others have noted, the price per print might be a bit higher, but it's so much fun and easy to use that the HP A716 is a winner in my opinion.
