I wanted Horchow's French style bar stool. Not in the household. They worked well - the cushions are a bit stiff and the finish is what you would expect from a mass-produced "Made in China" product. However, I liked the color and design of the fabric. The red and gold fabric looks more like a bright orange overall; it's not too shiny. The assembly was quite easy. Contrary to some reviewers, I got all the parts I needed and found the screws lined up perfectly. The centering pin that aligns the backrest with the seat was a bit odd - it wasn't long enough to fit between the two pieces, but by slightly tightening each screw in a rotating pattern, it was easy enough to put together. . For the price I am satisfied - the goal is achieved. For this price if I get tired of them I can't hurt to throw them away.
