If the beater breaks, you can replace it with a beater that you can purchase at a lumber mill or hardware store. I have snappy burs, a flushing set and drill chucks and now a conical bur set too. My old kits have never let me down, unlike some competing brands whose bits push into a screwdriver chuck and can spin. Snappy Bits are money well spent.
