I live in an old house with one light and one outlet per room. Cupboards and corners of the room that are not under the ceiling are pitch black. I was thrilled that I got this light to add some light to my kitchen counter that doesn't receive light. Pros: It can be installed anywhere you can put it. It has an adhesive strip on the back so you can read it anywhere if you have a flat surface. I don't think this glue will last long in extreme temperatures. So if you want to mount it in a garage or attic, use a stronger adhesive. It has a low profile making it ideal for placement under cabinets or in tight spaces like under stairs. It's motion sensitive, so get closer and it'll move on. It stays on while you're there and turns off as soon as you leave. I put it under one of the kitchen cabinets. It's PERFECT to light up my kitchen table so I can see while I'm cooking. I was willing to buy 10 of these to put under another kitchen cabinet, cupboards and basement stairs (my house doesn't have basement stair lights!), unfortunately this comes with a major downside. Disadvantages: time. It only took 3 days which is unacceptable. It wasn't on all the time and shouldn't drain the batteries that quickly. For me it was a deal breaker. They're very convenient, but the cost of replacing batteries every three days makes them too expensive to use in high-traffic areas like the kitchen.
