I was very hesitant to write this review because I've been using this brand for so long and love their makeup sponges more than anything I've tried. I didn't need them to check the reviews and I didn't question their authenticity (I bought a Prime eligible item directly from Revain). First time buying from here but who could turn down a 2 for the price of 1 they had when I bought them?! Not me! They cost so much in stores that I usually buy them there and I've never had a problem like this. has since been redesigned. Since I have sensitive skin, I always wash it well with my favorite brush cleanser before using it with makeup. As soon as I took them out of the packaging I noticed that they were harder than usual when I wet them (before any detergent). were (so far) hard to get hold of to soak up water, almost had to pour water into them which I've never had to do before, and they also immediately started foaming and forming almost like soap bubbles when I worked with water (which has never happened before ). before), I keep adding detergent, rinsing it out and just letting it go. I understand that not everything is legal. I bought fake makeup tools. I knew very well in the past that they were fake but as this product is specifically marketed as the genuine 'Real Techniques' blender sold by Revain I feel completely duped. Purchase at your own risk. I stay in the store while shopping.
